The following top tips will also help.
- Don't assume that because someone else is doing it one way, that that way is food safe. Sometimes they are wrong.
- Check your own country legislation as different countries have different rules.
- Whatever you do, ensure your customer is made aware in writing of which parts of the cake are not edible.
- Use common sense. If it is not edible, it should not come into contact with someone's mouth unless there has been a food safe barrier.
